When to seek medical care is when your pet is showing these signs of distress:

Choking, difficulty breathing or nonstop coughing, and gagging

Severe bleeding

Bloated or painful abdomen

Fractured bones, severe lameness or inability to move leg(s)

Inflammation, swelling or irritation to the eye(s)

Heat stress or heatstroke
-
Collapse or loss of consciousness
-
Ingestion of poison or foreign materials
-
Lacerations, such as bite wounds and penetrating wounds
-
Prolonged vomiting and diarrhea
-
Seizure activity
-
Severe hives or severe itching
-
Injuries to your pet's eye(s)
-
Inability to delivery puppies or kittens
-
Inability to urinate or defecate
-
Loss of balance or consciousness
-
Obvious signs of pain or extreme anxiety
-
Rapid heartbeat or breathing rate
-
Dilated pupils
-
Bleeding from nose, mouth, rectum, coughing up blood, or blood in urine or stools
