Pet Emergency

When to seek medical care is when your pet is showing  these  signs of distress:

  • Choking, difficulty breathing or nonstop coughing, and gagging

  • Severe bleeding

  • Bloated or painful abdomen

  • Fractured bones, severe lameness or inability to move leg(s)

  • Inflammation, swelling or irritation to the eye(s)

  • Heat stress or heatstroke

  • Collapse or loss of consciousness

  • Ingestion of poison or foreign materials

  • Lacerations, such as bite wounds and penetrating wounds

  • Prolonged vomiting and diarrhea

  • Seizure activity

  • Severe hives or severe itching

  • Injuries to your pet's eye(s)

  • Inability to delivery puppies or kittens

  • Inability to urinate or defecate

  • ​Loss of balance or consciousness

  • Obvious signs of pain or extreme anxiety

  • Rapid heartbeat or breathing rate

  • Dilated pupils

  • Bleeding from nose, mouth, rectum, coughing up blood, or blood in urine or stools



If you are going to be out of town and your pet becomes ill; make sure your vet's office authorization for your pet sitter to bring your pet to the office.
